I really dont think that BG3 would have been better without the EA phase.
Nobody is perfect. Larian isnt either.
Act 3 is simply the largest part of the game, with the most storylines falling over each other, and a bit of chaos is the result.
And besides there are plenty problems before Act 3 already.
For example this complete nonsense with Lae'zel at times realizing her deity is a fake and at others suddenly forgetting it again.
Or the complete nonsense with Asterions social siblings turning up. That whole dialogue is an absolute lore disaster and makes no sense whatsoever.
And I think that once Larian is done with BG3, fans will step in.
My core question at that point is if there will be an unofficial fanpatch that really collects everyones work and results in a better Act 3 experience overall.
Sort of like we have for Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines from Troika Games (R.I.P.) through Wesp5.
Getting BG1+2 going with a good selection of fanpatches is a real headache though, so my optimism to getting that is unfortunately limited.
