I just noticed that the shadow sorcerers hound scales with game difficulty... like an enemy. So on the easier difficulties he actually has less HP and on tactician he has more HP plus his attack modifier and spell DC is higher

I believe that's intended, but there are lots and lots of little things that seem to make no sense.
Regarding Nimbus, the accuracy and damage of his bite use different stats. Having him drink a strength elixir increases his accuracy, but his bite damage axtually comes from dexterity. I can think of nothing else in the game like this.
Another example is Staff of the Ram. The save DC on it's special effect is 8, and to my knowledge can't be boosted in any way, so unless there's an enemy with 1 or 0 Constitution you only have a 5% chance of it's effect happening(enemy must critical fail their save), which makes it completely unreliable. Having it work 100% of the time would be OP, but as it stands currently it's just trash.
