Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Technical & Gameplay Problems Mod Manager takes minutes to connect to mod.io

I'm not really sure when it started or if it was from the very beginning but I know that I had this problem for a long time now.
Whenever I start BG3 the game takes several minutes to connect to mod.io and load my subscribed mod list. It also always takes a good moment to load either the browse or installed section of mods. I have over 5GB of mods downloaded right now but I think this was also an issue very early on before I had so much downloaded.
When I open mod.io on my browser it pretty much always loads quickly. Would this be some weird connection issue or does it have something to do with the game?

Since Patch 8, the loading indicators of the mods try to "spin to win"... And it's not only here that I have the feeling that a lot more PC resources are being used than usual. Sometimes it feels like it's lagging and freeze frames follow, but luckily I've been spared this so far. And yes, I went through all the guides beforehand. Such as:

Remove Mods

Deleting modsettings.lsx file

Cleaning Cache

Clean & Full Uninstall
