So I just did the endings where I embraced Bhaal but defied him at the ending and saved the world.

The one where you
end yourself
felt really more of a redemtion than the one everyone takes in the temple of Bhaal and have Withers restore you. In this one, YOU are the one who ends it, NOT Bhaal, you make the sacrefice of your own blood and body. It felt really powerful and liberating. I read comments above that mentions people thinking they could become Jergals chosen, and I can see why someone would think that. I would like if that was what happens next, but it's left pretty open I think. Was not expecting such a happy ending for this branch.

The locked up one... I get what you mean. The shakes and madness in her eyes where goosebump worthy. Also the implied hints at what have happened to your LI. I'm still not sure if she had done something or not, because I felt the narrator implied Astarion was alive but they kept showing a dining table, and I was expecting to see something horrible there. And Astarion was not in the camp scene for me. But it ended with her getting ready to strike while they where asleep.
To me it felt like she truly became a monster, perhaps even more so than the one where you destroy the world for Bhaal. In that one she seemed at peace with being one with her father, not so much in this one.

I'm not sure about your original question about Bhaal being removed or not. If we take the order of the cutscenes literally, then it could imply there is a chance our Tavs will recover in that scenario.
