By the way, spoiler alert below. Saving Sazza in the long run involves a lot more than just rescuing her from the Grove.

I've rescued her from the Grove two ways. The usual, out the back door cave, and the first time I did it, I didn't know about the cave, so I laboriously walked her out the front door. Boy, do you have a lot of guard checks to pass as they wonder just wth you're doing. Remember, the Druids hate Sazza so much, the guy in the cave whose life you just saved wakes up and immediately is ready to fight you to the death for having Sazza with you, without so much as a thanks!

But that's just the beginning. You get over to the goblin camp and she helps you in (unless you've already ingratiated yourself, as I describe above) and next see her with Minthara, doing her best to supplicate and not be murdered (again!)

There are various dialog options, but they end with her either being immediately killed, or you going into combat against Minthara, and Sazza joins in with her, presumably more out of fear than fealty to a nasty Drow who wants to kill her anyway.

Yes, you can throw in with Minthara and attack the grove. I did that for the first time not too long ago, and backstabbed her and fought with the Grove against the assault, quite the adventure!

But there's one tortured path through the dialog next to Minthara that lets you attack Minthara right there, and Sazza is on your side. She cowers, but is green and not yellow neutral.

But oh boy, she's only got 12 hit points and everyone wants to murder her first. I was doing a solo run on pseudo-honor mode (honor mode ruleset but not just one save file) so this was quite a bear to accomplish. It involved some reloads and a lot of luck Sazza could survive multiple hits one round.

But that's not all! She's again in danger.

So there's this guy on a bridge over the spider pit. Normally it's a challenge to save him as the goblin shoves him in straight away. I had checked earlier, he wasn't there, there was no body in the pit.

Well, shortly Sazza shows up in his place, and she's about to be shoved in! WHYYYYYY, Sazza? Just go home and have a dwarf meat sandwich.

I don't have the power to one-shot the guy. Hold person works, but he frees up automatically on his next turn and shoves her in anyway. I invis Sazza and he's confused, but she lives. I get "Save Sazza" mission successfully completed, though I never see her again. So far.

Just get outta here, Sazza. It's been one long day for you.
