Hi everyone,
I’m new to the forums and recently found myself deeply inspired by the incredible creativity in this community. I’ve been developing a narrative-driven concept for a modular Baldur’s Gate 3 companion mod. The idea is grounded in established lore, with original expansions, character arcs, and modular worldbuilding elements that can be released incrementally to build trust and avoid mod load bloat.
I come from a background in storytelling and performance—formally trained in writing, directing, and character development—and I’m excited to contribute to the modding ecosystem in a meaningful way. What I don’t have (yet!) are the technical skills to bring it to life in-game. That’s where I’m hoping this community might come in.
If you’re a modder, coder, toolkit expert, or even just a fan of narrative design and would enjoy collaborating on a creative level—whether for advice, co-design, or possible development—I’d love to connect and share what I’ve got so far.
The first piece is a lore-rich, self-contained enhancement mod designed to complement an existing class mod (with full credit to the original author). From there, I have plans for an interwoven series of discoverables, items, branching dialogue, and even a companion NPC—all built around an original mythos that can expand naturally without breaking immersion.
If this sounds intriguing, or if you're just curious and want to chat worldbuilding, I’d be thrilled to hear from you. I’m not here to spam or advertise anything—just looking to build something cool with people who care as much about story, character, and atmosphere as I do.
Thanks so much for reading!
