Hi everyone! I’m experiencing a pretty serious issue that started happening after Patch 8.

The problem:
When I hover over an enemy with an attack action — whether it's a melee hit, off-hand strike, spell, or even Divine Smite — the game stutters heavily. It becomes very distracting and really impacts the flow of combat.

At first, I thought it was a mod issue. So I began disabling mods one by one. Eventually, I got frustrated and disabled all mods entirely — but the problem still persisted.

On the Nautiloid everything runs great — smooth and responsive. But shortly after, especially during more complex encounters, the stuttering begins and becomes more noticeable and frequent.

What’s strange is the rest of the game plays perfectly — I get around 165 FPS, it’s buttery smooth. But the moment I hover an attack action over an enemy, the game lags.

Specs:

GPU: RTX 3080 Ti

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5800X

RAM: 32GB

Resolution: 1440p, 165Hz

No mods active, clean test environment

Tried Vulkan and DirectX 11 — issue persists

Latest NVIDIA drivers as of May 2025

Would really appreciate any insight or if others are experiencing the same issue. Love this game and just want to help improve it! 💛

Are you using the controller interface? Or is it mouse and keyboard?
I know for controllers on patch 8 (and thus console players get this a lot), the game can lag something fierce when hovering over attacks and actions in the radial menus, especially if - as you say - you do this while the cursor is on an enemy or character.

I've been told they're aware of the "radial lag" issue so hopefully it'll be fixed soon... hopefully! Lol.

Yes, I’m using a keyboard and mouse.
What confuses me is that the game runs perfectly — everything is smooth and fast, no issues at all, except for this one problem when I hover the cursor over an NPC to attack.

I’ve played around with the video settings, even changed the resolution and capped the framerate from 165 to 100 — sometimes it helped, and I could play normally for a while, but then the issue came back.

I’m just curious if anyone else has experienced this, or am I the only one?

Yeah, there is some sort of UI lag issue. I've had the same problem for a while now.
