They thanked me and made plans to vamoose, emphasis on the moose. I looted a body...and they attacked me. Apparently these animals are also guarding against theft from the bodies of their oppressors.
That is so weird. This might be a long shot but did you also ask them to break through the rubble for you? Not sure if this has any impact on the situation, but it's something I'll always do here. That said: I've never seen the Rothe aggro like that on any of my play-throughs and my first one was way back in late 2023.
I *think* the crates off to the side of the area are still marked red after you kill the Duergar but those too I can loot without the Deep Rothe reacting to it.
Come to think of it.. I don't think I've ever seen any animals aggro over theft/looting, but I might be wrong here.
