I thought it might be useful to start a modwishlist. We have 1000s of great mods (thank you!!) but I have some wishes and I am sure others have them too. I don't know where else to post this to reach modders, if you know where let me know. If you know of resources to teach me how to do any of the below please point me there - I believe this is beyond the BG3 mod toolkit but let me know if that's wrong.

1. Character Creation Features Search and Drop Down Menu: A search function in character creation for faces, hairstyles and earrings in character creation. With mods there can be way too many options in these areas to easily search visually. Earrings are especially difficulty because you have to click through each one sequentially and cannot see them in advance or skip any. ALternatively, drop down menu for these options so you can see the names of all the options all at once and choose from the menu.

2. Body-Modification Selection Mod: There are multiple body modification mods like SBBF, BCB and others. At present they are incompatible, very difficulty to remove (impossible for me), and create clipping with clothing and armor that is not modified specifically for those body shapes. In other games there are body sliders and other functionalities that allow switching between body types without uninstalling mods or ruining saves, and auto-adjustment of clothing. For example CP77 and Skyrim have these options. Can this be done for BG3?

3. Save Game Fixer: Frequently old save games will be unplayable due to the interaction of mods with game updates, making it impossible to run the save games in order to fix the mods. A mod application that could be applied to a broken save game file to fix it -- in at least some cases -- would be a godsend. I have several Act 3 saves that are eternally lost to me.

Thanks for any help and please add your own wish-list below.

One thing I've always been curious about, is a SLIGHT rework to 4 Elements Monk:

In vanilla: Firefang Fist currently gives your subsequent attacks (and punches) +1d4 fire for the rest of that turn.
What if the other unique elemental skills did the same for their elements?

So, a mod that does something like:
Water Whip = +1d4 cold on your attacks for the rest of that turn.
Fist of Unbroken Air = +1d4 thunder on your attacks for the rest of that turn.

I don't think it'd be a huge buff to Elements Monk or game ruining in balance or anything, as those skills still eat your extra attack and don't count as attacks like Firefang Fist does, but something like this I feel would give Elements Monk a bit more of a desireable and thematic flair to it.

Buttresses. Pleasure domes. Perfectly legitimate architectural features.

Why, first I would want a simple mod that gives Rogues a sneak attack / backstab during the reaction when they already have sneak attacked / backstabbed during their turn.

Thats according to the original rules, by the way, which is why I would want that as a separate mod.

Namely you can backstab once per turn - that means your very own turn, and during the reaction somebody elses turn.

In fact if you could get two reactions, which in BG3 you cannot, you could backstab on both reactions, as long as it would be a different victim each time.

Unfortunately many people seem to very consistently confuse turns and rounds, and what BG3 has is once per round, which is incorrect.

Rogues already got nerfed massively compared to the D&D3 version by only being able to sneak attack / backstab once per turn. There was no limit in D&D3 on how often you could sneak attack / backstab.

Actually, you can. Some equipment will give an extra Reaction. Such as the Legendary Rapier in Act 3.

To be fair, they also got a massive buff in that you can sneak attack any target. Imagine how gimped Rogue in BG3 would be in Act 2 when D&D3's "You cannot sneak attack undead" stipulation was applied (Also other enemy types like Constructs in Act 3)...

That said... I miss the 3e Special Abilities/3.5e Rogue Talents that provided Rogue with additional utility (Things like debuffing enemies when sneak attacking). It always felt more Rogue-y to be debilitating enemies making them easier targets for your allies (That you rely upon to keep their attention so you can sneak attack) rather than just spamming out extra damage like a knife wielding maniac with sneak attack damage dice out the wazoo...

Especially since we have an attack spamming class that's there to just push out mad damage already with Fighter and a class that has fewer attacks but hits hard af with Barbarian. Which is why this "Sneak Attack Damage Focused Rogue" design end up underwhelming so often, since they get compared to these 2 classes that just do the same job but better and easier. (Which is one of the main things in why Rogue gets complaints in BG3 it's not that Rogue is super awful and unplayable... It's that Fighter/Barb/Monk can just do SO MUCH MORE)

Yes thats also one of my ideas, a D&D3.x retro mod.

For example you get ASIs independently of feats and you get them per character level, so you can raise your stats at level 4, 8, 12, always.

Also get a lot more feats. Like Combat Reflexes, an old favorite of mine. You could get as many attacks of opportunity per round as your dexterity modifier.

Another idea is a rebalance mod. Probably two actually, one for the races and one for the classes. The one for races is obviously very necessary.

Another idea is the opposite of the retro mod, a D&D5.5 improvements mod.

Choose Your Stats (CYS) chooseyourstats_modio is pretty high on my Wishlist right now, but it gets updated like weekly so I'm not overly hopeful lol

I paid to have a mod commissioned nearly 7 months ago and it still hasn't come to console. so Happy 200day anniversary to my Way of the Shadow Monk Rework mod. I should have had an elf head commissioned, it would have been approved in a few weeks.

If its any consolation the Reaper class mod has literally been denied over one shader, got sent back, and has been waiting for almost a year now since this first dropped alongside dragon tamer.

Larian is absolutely biased with mods, and it's really bad.

A Mod that allows you to romance the person you are playing with. Me and my bestie, and I know a few of my friends would really like a mod like that.
Where it has cutscenes like the ones you get with ShadowHeart, Astarion, Lae'zel, etc.
I think this would also be a lot of fun for couples who play BG3 together.

There is a mod that allows you to kiss other partymembers. The description says it should also work with other Tavs.

If you want to go a bit further, (adult content)

you could try BG3SX (the sex framework) Don't know about multiplayer, but it lets you do the hanky panky with other partymembers but also any other NPC, e.g. Orin in the Bhaal temple.

Only available on Nexus. Don't think this will ever be allowed on modio

I would like a mod that can give you the option , when you're in Act 2, to skip to the end. Pas the point where you defeat Ketheric.
In act 1 and act 3, you can avoid boring sidequests. these acts have a great repeat factor. But act 2 has the gauntlet of shar and the mindflayer colony that you must go through every time. And after 3 or 4 times, it really gets to be a chore.
I know there can be different outcomes, but I'd be content if the result was fixed by e.g. Nightsong and Isobel saved. (An advanced version might include some kind of option screen to choose Aylin dead or not)
I find most eveything in the game excellently repeatable, because one can choose what to do or not, but this act 2 feels like a barrier.

I’m pretty sure you can accomplish that with the debug book, you can skip to points in a chapter and set quest flags.

Honestly I would just settle for circle of the Shepard being ported at this point.
