13 chapters and 59k words into my new BG3 fic.
It's told from my own perspective and is based on the concept of being dragged into the game after I installed a weird mod. Because of the knowledge I have of the game and other mods installed, I am making choices that the original game wouldn't let you take, more like a proper table top D&D game where, as the player, you have the freedom to do anything you like rather than be constrained by the developers decisions.
This story features mods which can greatly effect the game as well as items from our world as well.
I'm on a roll with this atm and feel that it's my best work to date. It's fun, but also graphically violent as per the game, got slow burn romance with a good dash of slice of life to boot.
I'm really enjoying writing this one.
