I would really appreciate being able to jump places without randomly getting stuck on something that wasn't shown to be in my pathing. It would be awesome to have a camera that works, seriously the camera on this game may as well be shoved up the owl bears butt letting it control the game. Dice rolling you would think would average out at some point, but it hasn't. In 500 hours of gameplay I have missed more than 75% of attacks made in that time. Enemies with 14 or less AC should not be that difficult to hit especially when by the end of Act 1 you have at least a + 10 to attack rolls. Dont worry the enemies are able to hit me while I cheat putting my AC at 35 and I will still go multiple rounds of not being able to land an attack on an enemy that has no right even being called an enemy. Cheating in this game and for some reason because of rolling I literally and losing still. over 300 HP on all 4 characters 3 of the characters have +26 to attacks while one only has a +19 to attacks. I still miss about as often as I land attacks. I miss only slightly less often. I literally have to roll a 1 to miss and I have rolled over 200 ones on this play through with my brother and we just entered Act 3 together. I wanna know anyone who can keep up with my misses. I dont think it exists. A game of odds is only fun when you can actually play by the odds. I could play with only 10% chances of landing hits and my game would play the same as it does with 91%+ that I could land hits. If that wasnt enough when it comes to healing yes you can use that one amulet to make it perfect heals for the one person, but hitting on the low end of heals constantly is also BS on top of all the crap already being dealt with. WE pretty much dont use a cleric cause there is no point. that is just a person who wont ever land an attack (looking at you Shadowheart) She may as well have a built in miss mechanic with how often she cant land anything at all. And then they dont heal you without using all their spell slots no matter what point in the game you are. Yeah yeah have some other characters made through Withers to heal with then, I refuse to have to play a balanced game mode like that. Honour mode it makes sense to have struggles, Balanced mode though? My brother and I havent beat the game on balanced and cause of that cant in good conscience go to a harder mode together, I have my own honour mode and I have been able to rush to ACT 3 by just not fighting and only doing conversations. Since that is the only way to actually make it through the game. So I have had to just skip extra story.
My experience with this game has gone from awesome in prerelease to hating this game.
Stop trying to say mods ruin the game experience unless you arent gonna have them built into the game is another issue. I cant believe downloading one dice set and only using it could ruin my entire play through cause now the game will respond irratically. Bane dice is not the reason in the middle of an encounter the game just stops processing the turn for enemies or neutral characters. It also is not the reason for all my previously stated issues since I didnt use mods til after patch 8 and after my own play through of the entire game. Patch 8 came out after my beating the game and now the game feels unplayable. It was already frustrating enough to be on balanced mode and get to the final fight and then I get to watch the enemy military systematically pick my people off not targetting any of the NPCs and never missing my characters while I could not land an attack. As the Dark Urge who took Bhaals blessing I got every last HP taken by the enemies and only killed off maybe 5 enemies. I had to just misty step past and dimension door to get by and cheese a win. Look at everyones AC for enemies at that point in the game. None are ever over 18 for basic enemies and I had over a +20 to attack rolls. that means I have to roll a 1 to miss yet I missed almost all my attacks while they are hitting my 22+ AC characters. If your game is only averaging all rolls across all accounts then this game is worthless and certain players are just picked to have fun while the rest of us are just being given Baldurs Gates version of the big green weenie.
