In one of those honor mode fail moments, I was reading the red books on the table in the Grove, and missed the white read and clicked something red. no no no no no! Click move elsewhere, click click click abort abort abort!
Nope, I picked up a book. The horrible crime.
Kagha, no less, took offense. I tried to talk my way out of it, not gonna happen. Come on, my 8 charisma is just paperwork, look what a cute little gnome I am!
My new choices were not one of the other two roll options, no, they were gone.
Just
1. Pay 100 gold
2. Attack!
So I killed a butthole who wanted to murder me or at least steal twice the cost of a flaming sword to look the other way.
Death it is, then. I wasn't on honor mode, thankfully, so I could roll back.
But I wanted to see where this went. At level 2 it wasn't the easiest fight, but I got it done. It was just her and her little toady. Lae'zel, who should have been the hero of this fight, kept getting one-shotted for some reason, got in 2 swings and 0 hits, so I left her crumpled.
Anyway, I needed a rest but the area was red now. Nobody else wanted to mess with me though, so I left. And kept leaving further and further and further. The gate was wide open.
This is not good.
I'm guessing the Teiflings got kicked out because the druids are idiots and I have nothing to do with them. Heck, I let Mr. Green knock out Zevlor so I could steal his gloves! Come on, Druids! But no! Nobody wanted to hear what a child-murdering ass Kagha was, and how she demanded 100 gold because I wanted to, god, read a book, the corrupt hag-in-training.
Well, I have no desire to go down the road of tiefling fail. Hundreds dead, because a corrupt hag wanted a kickback for picking up a book.
