Sadly when looking into that I found there to be only 3 spell modifier weapons available... 2 Scimitars and 1 Rapier... Still not much variety (And not helpful for classes like Alchemist, Scrounger or Witch that can only use Simple weapons but still want to bonk things)

Of course there's also a new mod Secura weapons. Which provides a Greatsword, two Shortswords, a Longsword and a Scimitar. All with the added bonus of granting proficiency. Which is at least something (Though, theming leaves a lot to be desired given they're all Radiant themed)

As far as I'm aware, CYS mod offers more than just stat options. But provides the ability to give many different kinds of extra abilities to your character.

The most recent ImpUI optional file solves that (The one with the CC fixes). It allows changing of Racial Cantrips on a respec.

Also, they're not THAT strange a choice. Given that early game there's a lot of incentivising you using fire to blow up explosives - Such as the barrel next to one of the Intellect Devourers in the crashed Nautiloid and the barrel in the crypt that all the bandits conveniently stand next to (If you enter via the hole made by the block above the 2 dudes you talk to outside). Which of course doesn't require stats to do as objects are guaranteed hits.
