A great mod would be one that lets you rewind frames during cutscenes. These scenes have some wonderful closeups that I would love to grab as a screenshot, but when you see them, it's too late. So now what I often do is, start a video capture at the beginning of a conversation, and when something like that occurs I can get it from the saved clip. However, it would be too cumbersome to do this systematically for every cutscene, so I still miss some great shots. It would be so nice if you could rewind to the scene you want to save.

Thinking about trying my hand with the mod toolbox after updating to Patch 8 to make a mod that does feats every 3 levels - every 2 seems too much, but 3 about right - also aligns with subclass improvements somewhat.

I have a good idea for a shaman class mod.
Where you unlock skills through a modular system and gradually improve them.
That makes it a very tactical class.
But I don't really have much experience with changing skills.

Here's a great idea for a mod: formation control.
Since Larian can't be bothered to implement it despise being a staple in the genre (and in their past titles)....


Party control in Baldur's Gate 3 is a complete mess that begs to be addressed. SAY NO TO THE TOILET CHAIN

I was thinking a Mod where you can Romance the PC's, so like if you're playing with a friend you can get cutscenes like you would with Astarian, Shadowheart, etc. I think this would be really good for couples who play BG3 together.

When you spend your spellslots, they dont remove themselves ... they simply grey out ...
When you use your scroll, it dont remove itself ... it simply shows you you have 0 of them ... (im quite sure it works with potions and poisons aswell)

BUT

When you throw your weapon ... even if that weapon is bound by various means, or its sole magic purpose is to return back to your hand ...
All of its icons are removed from your bar and then thrown back in asbolutely random ... i cant even call that order, so ... mess. :-/

Why?

Because spells are attached to the character, and even when used, the character knows them. Item abilities are attached tot he item, and when the item is removed (via throwing) the abilities no longer exist, and are removed. Can Larian fix this? Sure, probably. But I wanted to clear up the why bit.

Yes ... that should be quite obvious.

Except ...
Its just as when you swap a Shortbow for different one ... you also just removed your item, and yet your bars remains perfectly fine ...
Or if you swap your a Shortbow for a Longbow ... sure, new ability will be added, but old ones (atack and Hamsting Shot) sit still on place where you put them ...

And while the weapon is bound, there is no returning you throw the item away AND YOU HAVE IT immediately back in your hand.

So CLEARLY ... the engine is capable of doing that.
Its all just matter of some kind of condition like "if bound > then skip this part of script > else do it" or i dunno, im no programer.
