I really enjoy playing the shadow sorcerer, but there is one thing I think is weird.

With the the Eyes of the Dark: Darkness, I can see through the darkness, but if I cast the regular darkness spell, then I get blinded. Shouldn't a shadow magic sorcerer be able to see through any magical darkness? Why is it only with the eye of the dark spell that use sorcery points that a shadow sorcerer can see through? I wish you could make a change that when a shadow sorcerer gets to a certain level, they can see through any magical darkness. It just feels weird that a shadow sorcerer gets blinded when you are in any other darkness than the eye of the dark: Darkness, when they both look the same and is basically the same spell, only that with one you use sorcery points and the other spell slots or scrolls.

I imagine it would be a little bit OP if you wouldn't get blinded by any type of Darkness. Especially if you take the absurdly good & cheap "Misty Step" of the Shadow Sorc into account. However, I agree that it is extremely confusing that the icons of the special Darkness and the normal Darkness look almost identical. That tiny metamagic flame in the center gets lost when it's just a small icon on your hotbar. I would help if it it was a bit more purple or something.
