The game engine automatically detects when mods are active and disables achievements to ensure fair gameplay, even if its just cosmetic only.
There are ways to re-enable them back on with help of certain mods but I lack the knowledge to direct you to those specific ones like I wouldn't be sure if they work with latest version and so on, hope someone else more knowledgeable can tell.
Just wanted to tell heads up so you won't waste time on a run, there was a way to tell if the icons would be faded or light up to see if they got disabled but I don't know if that's the case with latest version since I don't dabble with mods, something I know friends have said.
