This is probably known, and not asking for advice, because I do know how to mitigate the issue, but this is such an absurd bug that I really want more people to complain so Larian fixes it.

When you are trying to free Nere from his cave-in, every single damn time, one of the NPCs is going to go into the fire ladden ground, take damage, and then make everyone hostile toward you. Everyone. Every time.

You can help prevent this by either rushing a character through the smoke and ash really fast to start dialogue, or using a water spell to make the ground safe and prevent damage and hostility.

But that's really annoying and clearly not meant to happen, but I don't get how this hasn't been fixed unless this only happened in like patch 8. I do not want to worry about everyone turning hostile involving something the game wants you to do. This is clearly how it's meant to be solved, and clearly a consequence of that intended method of solving, how did this still make it through?
