I've also been experiencing these constant freezes, since I got the game in April 2025. Each time it freezes I need to force quit the game and I lose any progress I've made after the last save.
This happens in a few different scenarios, like when starting dialogs (manually or automatically) or ending fights. This happens about 30% of the time and in practice renders the game unplayable.
I've tried the troubleshooting steps above and nothing improved the situation. I play on an external display, I also tried playing with the external display only and the laptop lid closed.
