Don't worry; I'm still working on this. I've just been busy with a lot of other things as well.

This isn't where I want Aerie to actually be when I finish the mod; this was just for testing. Also I'm using the unlocked toolkit. Creating a visual resource and then template is quite easy (although admittedly it took me longer than it should have to realize there was a box I needed to check to get her to wear her equipment) and at this point it would be quite simple to start adding dialogue and create a basic NPC. But we don't want that; we want Aerie to be a companion, and for that we need to start looking at scripts. Which always looks daunting at first when you open one in notepad and just see a wall of seeming nonsense, but by looking at how others in the game are put together we can slowly puzzle it out I'm sure.

Ideally we would want a cinematic intro for her as well. As I've said before, this obviously isn't the same fretful, traumatized kid as from the start of BG2. In BG2 Aerie is still healing from years of abuse and captivity. She's still an alien in the world having never ventured far from the circus. so naturally is quite dependent on the party. She's not really used to talking to people, is claustrophobic, using muscles she's never really exercised before... suffices to say there was a lot she needed to overcome, but by the end of it she mostly has, and now over a hundred years on she has the confidence and experience to match her high intelligence and wisdom. We might find out she has some all new issues later, but her intro should show her kicking some ass I think.
