I encountered a dialogue cutscene for the first time, which IMO is bugged.

Context, I'm playing a Durge. I did not save Arabella and gave Silphy a shake when he tried to steal from me. But I did save Mirkon from the harpies, and helped Meli with the adventurer whose locket he had stolen.
Talked to Mol, he was not hostile, and berated him for putting the kids in danger. He didn't like that and ran away.

Fast forward, I pointed Minthara to the goblin camp and arrived there after a long rest. Zevlor was happy to see me, told about his plan to set fire to barrels. I then went on to collect the barrels on the wall. Talked to Dammon who was also happy to see me.

Then I wanted to pick up one of the oil barrels. Guex was standing next to it. I didn't engage Guex in conversation, but the moment I picked up the barrel , the cutscene opens with Guex, menacing me with a drawn sword, saying he'd heard I had threatened the kids.

Now I have only one choice to get out, a deception check. I let Wyll make this. He has +4 on deception with a CHA of 18. The DC of the check is 20(!) But I don't get the +4. I only get the +3 bonus from the illithid favourable beginnings.
As I come from long rest, I don't have inspiration points yet, so naturally I fail the roll and then the only option to get out of the cutscene is "attack".

Then all the tieflings, including Zevlor and Dammon turn hostile and attack the party.
It's hard to imagine that this is as intended. Some kind of peaceful option is probably lost.

Well... The scope of the aggression is not bugged. Becoming hostile with any Tiefling will set all other Tieflings against you too.

As far as Guex confronting you, this can occur with any adult Tiefling if Mol doesn't like you. As she will go tell adult Tieflings about you when she runs off.

From what I can tell from your context, although you have completed some of the tasks that can cause her to like you (Helping Mirkon and Meli), your dialogue with her resulted in upsetting her. Hence she went to go tell the adults and you were eventually confronted. It just happened to be Guex who confronted you.

Hmm yes, I remembered from previous PT's you'd get in trouble if you didn't coddle up to the brats, but I didn't remember it was so hard to convince the tieflings of your good faith. Also, why is the deception proficiencey bonus from cha not being counted in this roll ? That still looks buggy.

Well I went along with the play, even though it was not my original plan to sack the grove, so the tieflings started a fight. Wyll turned against me and fought with them. Minthara 's forces appeared during the fight, even without blowing the horn. Then when the rampart was cleared of Tieflings, Karlach left me also, so I was left with Lae'zel only. The rest of the tiefling fight was easy, with the help of Minthy and the gobbo's. Then Minthara commanded us to exterminate the druids, which was harder, with Lae'zel getting caught in a "hold person" and bashed from all sides till truly dead. Tav got a fear spell, dropped her weapons and ran away. The goblins were fireballed. When Tav came back to the party, Lae'zel was dead. Fortunately she's a monk (drunken master) so she doesnt need her weapon to punch fiercely.

So here I am. Gale, Astarion and Shadowheart are already dead, due to the urge. I'm left with Lae'zel only. Feels kinda lonely.

To be fair, you don't really need to coddle up to them. Just help 1 of them and don't tell Mol off and they're fine. Anything else is just if you want to do it.

I don't know.

Without any logs regarding the roll and statuses regarding the party it's hard to say what or where the bug might be. (Whether it's specific to this particular dialogue interaction or something more generic)

From the information you've provided my gut instinct is asking "Did Wyll actually make the roll?"

As from the context you provided, it is suggested that Guex confronting your party was a surprise. Meaning you didn't pre-organize your party to enter the dialogue. Then given that you cannot simply back out of this dialogue and re-engage it later. I wonder how you managed to "Let Wyll do the roll", when the game defaults to the Player Character in dialogues (Meaning your Durge would be the one doing the dialogue options and any skill checks) unless they're specifically positioned very far away when the dialogue is initiated.

Now THAT's a clue that totally escaped me. Fortunately, I have a save closeby, so I could do a replay .
I imagined Wyll did the talking because just before that , he traded with Dammon (being my highsest CHA) and then led on to pick up the next barrel of oil.
The combat log shows that it is indeed Tav that is accosted by Guex , not Wyll. You nailed it completely. (The cutscene shows only Guex, with his sword drawn , not the one he's talking to)

But here's another surprise. I wanted to doublecheck for the bonus, by ungrouping, sending the party away and let Wyll approach the barrel alone. Guex did not address him. Then I made Wyll talk to Guex, and he was friendly to him. No threats, no deception throw needed or threat of attack.
Now Wyll is an old friend of the grove of course. So I tried again with Lae'zel. Let her approach Guex solo. No reaction. Talked to him and he was friendly.
Finally I tested with Tav solo, and on approach, bang. Attack.

It is not every Tiefling's reaction though. As stated, the ones looking out on the rampart were grateful and happy to see Tav. Zevlor, Dammon, and the guy that oversaw the children sparring in the ring. They were releaved to see Tav.

Anyway thanks for taking the time to resolve this !
