So I had my characters separated and running around like maniacs, trying to flee the Githyanki patrol. Gale escapes and immediately stumbles into the cut scene with The Three in silhouette, gets saved by the artifact.

But he didn't have it. Shadowheart does, and I am playing Shadowheart, for the first time.

Ok, but the problem is now Gale is the permanent owner of it. I'm used to "me" becoming the permanent owner of it instead of Shadowheart, but this is a Shadowheart playthrough.

So I really just have one question: Will this mess up any future me-as-Shadowheart stuff, which is kind of the point to play her? Is Gale now the boss of the party, thanks to the Emperor, who isn't even that yet? Who does the Emperor speak to now?

Still haven't answered that. Going over to kill Karlach's "friends", first gnoll encounter, one Hyena runs away. Lae'zel panicks, it's running away! Maybe we should do something about it!

I cast silence on it. It gets to the others and yelps, the second group comes running. Double-check, nope, that hyena is still silenced.

I have no idea but am very curious to read if it affects your game in any way.

The location of the artifact is not tracked. Whatever character currently needs it in a cutscene has it.
