I’ve played Baldur’s Gate 3 many times, and every story I lived through taught me something about courage, love, and redemption.
But one character — Minthara — stayed with me in a way no other did.
She’s strong, flawed, passionate, yet often judged only by the shadow she was forced to walk in.

I believe she deserves more. Not just as a companion — but as an Origin character.
A chance for us to see the world through her eyes, to understand her past, her choices, her scars.

There are many of us who see her not as a villain, but as someone worth saving — and worth knowing.

Please, Larian, give her that story.

Only way I see this possible is if the modding community comes together to make it happen.

The story that Minthara tells in regards to why and how she got captured, could actually be turned into a cinematic gameplay experience with an awe inspiring intro cutscene before the game starts, but this also only possible with indie devs coming together with a budget to custom make a prequel seen through the eyes of Minthara, a missed opportunity which could have been a potential DLC in the formate of a stand alone prequel.

That’s a really interesting take — I completely agree that her backstory could make for an amazing cinematic intro or even a standalone prequel.
Even if it’s something that only modders or indie devs could make happen, it shows just how much potential Minthara has as a character. I’d love to see Larian explore that one day — she truly deserves it. 💜

I think all the BG3 characters now belong to Wizards of the coast. Making a cinematic addon might need explicit permission of Wotc maybe ? Maybe Wotc could be petitioned to make additional Minthara content.
