Update for above : Lea'zel did indeed leave the party in act 2, while we were investigating Raethwyn, returning to find the Githyanki crèche instead. Unfortunately she took some of my best goodies, like the adamantine splint mail, with her. I did find her back ,later, in the east, close to the mountain pass. She almost made it "Is that -- Hells, the shadows have taken Lae'zel", The durge says. But Lae'zel is standing upright. Not looking like a shadow zombie, just her own blood-splattered self like when she left me. But there's no way to interact with her or get my goodies back, alas. So now all origin characters are gone. I hope I can persevere with this Durge run till the end to see what Withers' party will look like. I don't intend to recruit Minsc, which means that Jaheira won't last till the end either. Maybe only Volo will be there, uninvited.
