Sorry to necro the thread, but in my defense, the quote above does mention the word "necromancer"! I was going to start a fun little thread talking about her, but saw others already reached this conclusion!
Anyway, I just wanted to say when I played through her stuff in Act II, I got the feeling the entirety of BG3 was just a prequel to the real Baldur's Gate story, Arabella's Rise! That's some power!
Jeebus, she figured out how to deal with the Shadow Curse all on her own, just as a side effect, and had no problems taking out the ghost thingies. "Twist 'em up!"
That's like a legendary feral Jedi self-training out in the wilds, away from any teachers or even awareness of The Force!
Some of her dialogs with Withers suggest Withers thinks she's going places, and is keeping an eye on her. You, main character, are just a punk he was tasked to help by greater forces.
