How can a caractar be so stupid??? "Saving" the child???? Jeezu!!! Just the thought of releasing Chaos into the world is just bugging me. Couldn't I have been given the choice at least? But don't get me wrong, I just loved this game and I have two more "ways" of going as mage or survivor.

Who said that the child wasn't killed?
here is the explanation from @Marian, He who created the end movie
Extro scene You see the demon of lies dying. In fact you see the mutiliated body of janus ripped into pieces and the leftover, the sword of lies, remains. It comes closer and tries to seduce the hero. The hero is tempted to take it but refuses and sends it back to hell away from the mortal plane. Then the hero hears the cries of the baby. Knowing that it is the lord of chaos inside the child he/she draws the dagger to kill it. In the hero's moral struggle to kill a neborn innocent child the scene fades out. Much later you see the hero walk out victorious into the swamp area. He carries something. Loot? The child? You don't know for sure... Somewhere on a distant hill Arhu and Zandalor watch you coming when suddenly the statue you lifted up in the sky while entering the katacombs of aleroth comes down finally...(side joke, nothing more)

We have an expression here in Sweden. "The circle is closed". I smiled when the statue arrived.. some powerfull lift of that must have been! Maybe I am of a visious nature, but as a dedicated role-player with aligment true neutral, I must say... kill the kid! It will only bring problems later on! Talk about teen-age revolution. "Mum, I want to create a little bit of chaos to day, I reeeeally feel the urge!"

Agree with every part of your post Since I am a devoter RPG player with an alignement of Chaotic Neutral (I am like Chaotic Evil for the last 3 months but hey, it's Chatic Neutral ), I would say "Kill the Child". Hell, I guess even Lawful Good would've killed the baby... but here comes the question: What's better, to kill a person or let a million be killed? It's the most difficult question for people with lawful good alignement. Ah, it's good to be bad( ® )

What's better, to kill a person or let a million be killed? well to quote a pointy eared fellow "the needs of the many, outweigh the needs of the one!....something like that anyway

I agree yet the question is: CAN you kill a baby to save the world or not?

Are you sure? A little cute, innocent baby who looks at you and smiles with his blue eyes?

I would kill the baby in DD's case.
Then again, they once asked in a poll on a forum if I'd press a button, knowing it would randomly kill somebody (1 out of all the people on the world, you can't predict who), and get like $1000 or $10000 (forgot the exact amount). Of course I said yes, I probably even would in reality. Scarry ain't it?

How do we know that killing the baby WOULD save the world?
For LOTR fans,Gandalf's words:"...do not be too eager to deal out death in judgement. For even the very wise cannot see all ends."

I would kill the baby in DD's case. You're evil, you shouldn't have a conscience But I meant Do-Gooders

Wait a minute... IF the kid is really the Lord of Chaos... and IF you're really Evil... wouldn't you WANT to let it live, just for Future Amusement?

Of course I said yes, I probably even would in reality. Scarry ain't it? Reminds me of a short story I read a long time ago where that happened. A woman was given a small box with a button and told someone she didn't know would die if she pressed it, and she would get $100,000. Her husband thought this unethical, but she spent some time rationalizing and hit the button the next day while he was at work. So supper time rolls around and there comes a knock on the door. It seems her husband slipped and fell on the way home and was hit by a bus. He had a $50,000 life insurance policy, and since it was an accidental death that would be doubled. The woman was rather grief stricken. When the person later returned to retrieve the box, she pleaded with him that there must be a mistake, since she was told someone she didn't know would die. His response was to the effect, "Did you really know your husband? Does anyone really know anyone else?" The Twilight Zone type stories I've read/seen where someone travels back in time to kill someone to prevent the deaths that they caused have rarely turned out for the better. It will be interesting to see how this is dealt with in Riftrunner.

nice story @Raze! i realy like these storys because there is always a moral. it reminds me of a comix serie i collected. it was called "shock classics".
here i sa story from one of the episodes.
there was this greedy old man. he searched all his life for eternal life. he knew of this wishing christal. when used corectely he could have 3 wishes! He spend all of his life to find it. he was rudeless. killed alot of people for it. at his last years about the age of 80. he finily found the christal in a littel shop in tunesia.(tunis?). he had to kill the man. but just before the shopkeeper had givin his last breath he wispered , beware this christal because it's cursed! ofcours the old man laught at him and imediately said his wishes.
the first wish , was that he would be young again about 30 yeras old and he would never get older! the second wish, he was repelled of all illness and accidents, soo nothin could kill him.thus made him almost invinsible the third wish was that he would be the richest man of the world!
after alot of smoke. he begon to see again. he openen his eyes, and looked at his hands. "i've jong hands! i'm jong again! ha also has a little pocket knife and cut him in the arm. the knife couldn't get thu the skinn. I'm imortal he yelled!. finaly he looked around him . in the mist he saw he was sourounded by bars of pure gold! I'm rich ! he answerd. hehahaha all these killins made profet in the long end. while laughin the clouds totaly dissapeard and then he saw what happend...
he fall down on his knees shouting : NOOOOOOOO!!!, NOOOOOO!
do you want to know what happend? - - - - - - - - - - -
He was standing on the MOON! yes he wiched to be the richest man in the world. it was a pitty he didn't mentioned WICH world! [quotin DATD] ->Mhoehahahah

Almost a good point. But if do you know how we must feel seeing the world being destoyed and knowing we did noting to help? Besides a true evil person doesn't want the world to be destroyed because then he would have no one to be evil to. See my point?
