Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Technical & Gameplay Problems Xbox Series X unplayable

I paid $100+ for this game two years ago and have spent over a year just trying to reach act three despite literal constant crashing. I can barely get past the menu and load my game sometimes. Has anyone found an ACTUAL fix for this issue? All I see are people having the same problem and nothing they do works.
- My settings for my Xbox are already at 60HZ
- I uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times.
- cleared the cache
- deleted EVERYTHING. All my games. All my progress.
- Attached my Larian account
- detached my larian account

My most recent game I tried starting a month ago after deciding to just accept my fate and do what Reddit said which was clearing my cache after deleting all my files. Now I can't have one conversation or walk fifteen paces around camp without it crashing back to my Xbox home screen. The menu lags to all hell every time I open the game and it's definitely not my Internet because I run quite literally everything else perfectly fine, Apex Legends, Marvel Rivals, Elden Ring, etc.
I feel like they should refund people who haven't been able to play the game properly because it's completely bull crap this won game of the year despite half the people who paid for it being unable to play.

Hey Elisii, I can understand your frustration. I also play on xbox serie X, but i have to admit that i don't have that much problem to play. I have bugs and crashes but not as many as you mention.

On my case, i noticed that maybe the Quick resume functionality of the xbox may cause some trouble with the game (I also have this issue with FFXV). Every time i don't completely shut down the game manually after a session, I have issues (bug or crash). So now I always close the game manually after every session. That's the only tips I can give you unfortunately. I hope this will help a little.

Also i noticed that the VRR can cause issues, did you try to disable it ? On one of the pinned topics of the technical & Gameplay problem section, you have a topic called "Radial Wheel Lag/Freeze - Workaround" maybe try what they say. VRR cause a lot of various issue in many games. So you can try to turn off Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), disable Performance Mode. To disable VRR on your Xbox (X or S), navigate to Settings > General > TV & display options > Video modes > Variable refresh rate and select Off.
