Act 2 has some of the strongest side bosses in the game (the Thorm family), but currently skipping them has no downstream consequence. I think there’s a missed opportunity here.

If the player encounters (or even decides not to encounter) but does not resolve these bosses, it would be incredibly impactful to have them appear during an un-skippable section of the
Moonrise Towers assault — not alongside Ketheric, but as a mid-raid culmination of neglected threads.

Because each Thorm can already be persuaded into self-destruction individually, this encounter could preserve BG3’s ethos by allowing players to manipulate them into turning on each other, rewarding attention and roleplay rather than just combat.

This would turn exploration into responsibility, deepen Act 2’s themes, and add replay-ability without punishing players — only acknowledging their choices.

It feels like all the ingredients already exist.

Thank you for reading my first time post, I have other ideas but not able to put them into words just yet.

I disagree concerning Malus Thorm
If you skip him, you cannot wake Art Cullagh and cannot lift the shadowcurse. IMO, a significant failure for a "good-aligned" party.
Even so much later as the House of Hope, you have to tell the architect you were unanle to restore the lands.
