Don't know about that so much. Especially if transmog still had some level of restriction (I.e. Only change like items. So heavy armour can only be heavy armour and you can't transmog on some camp clothes instead)

But even then, there's always the whole "It's up to you if you mess things up for yourself"

Like, even with an unrestricted transmog, I wouldn't personally use it to make things that feel weird and would tend to only use it when I get given items that look like complete ass (For example, in BG3 if I want to play a BARBARIAN who runs around being a savage without armour... Half the time they'll be running around in a dress because that's the majority of the non-armour items... WTF kind of BARBARIAN runs around in a god damn dress?)

Or the alternative being I use it to update my appearance as I acquire new items, even if I don't actually use said items. Like, if I got some uniques that fit my build early and don't change them because they're better than everything else, I still want to be able to get new appearances as I find new stuff instead of just throwing it into a vendor and forgetting it ever existed.

It would only be if everything is completely and totally irredeemable trash that I'd resort to just selecting one appearance that sucks the least and using that forever. (Which given BG3's designs... Is a possibility...)
