I'm hoping this new game feature lots of new and cool equipment design.

I'm also hoping, that this game will have proper support for customization of appearance.

Meaning, a proper transmog system - Not just a "Force Camp Clothes" option - But a full on transmog system. Affecting both armour and weapons and being based around every item we acquire gets its appearance stored in a binder that we can then select to replace the look of equipped items (So no having to hold onto items or be restricted by having to equip the item that you want the looks of on top of things)

Then also, a dye system. One that isn't based around acquiring predetermined dyes from the actual game (Meaning you have to not only find the dyes but then they're limited in availability so experimenting is awkward). Give us access to the dye channels and dyes.

Further to this, I'd also advocate for weapon attachments. Things like scabbards, belt hoops and other fixings to actually logically facilitate how characters would actually carry a weapon (Also, no do not do the awful trope of putting a bow over your shoulder so the string goes across your chest, that's ridiculously uncomfortable and no-one in their right mind would actually carry a bow that way)

This should come with proper animations for sheathing and unsheathing these weapons (Given that this new game is going to be another CRPG then animation time should be less of an issue which would facilitate things better). As in, if my character is dual wielding swords, they won't just look straight forward and precisely sheath both simultaneously with perfection, they sheath them one at a time, using one hand to support the scabbard while looking down and slotting the sword into the scabbard with their other hand.

Since it's long past time we should have stopped with the whole "Weapons magically floating near your back/hip" and should be using actual attachment systems.

If your concern is larger weapons then there are possibilities, for example the shabbard:

Further to this, if you decide to allow characters to use multiple weapon sets (Be it BG3 style where everyone gets a melee + ranged weapon, or a more freeform where it can be any 2 sets of usable weapons) then you should always show both weapon sets. None of this BS where you pull a weapon out of your butthole because it literally didn't exist until you swapped to it.

This could also come with a decision to make weapon bonuses only apply from your currently held weapon set, so that you're not incentivised to run around wearing stat sticks you have no intention of ever actually wielding (Such as in BG3 where you get the affects of both weapon sets at all times, thus you often equip weapons just for stat boosts, even if you literally can't even use a bow you'll still just have it for a passive boost)

Yes! It would be great if the game has transmog and the ability to change colors for free any time I want.

As I said in the past about BG3, I'm ambivalent about transmog systems, because:

- on one hand they are useful tool to give the players option and to prevent their characters from looking like complete clown when in the end game they are dressed with the tackiest costumes and decorated of magical trinkets like christmas trees.
- ...on the other hand they break the illusion of consistency, where "what you see" isn't "what you get" anymore. It feels a bit like cheating. It makes picking your favorite equipment feel more fake and irrelevant.

in an ideal world, I'd have a game where I like all the costumes and design enough to not feel completelled to "trnasumtate" them with videogame trickery. But it's admittedly unlikely. Especially coming from Larian artists, who apparently couldn't make non-tacky outfits in their lives depended on it.

Anyway...

Absolutely YES for having weapon sheets, scabbards, quivers, etc permanently visible on the character (or at very least togglable). I despise "naked weapons magically floating glued to your back" with a fierce passion.
Maybe almost as much as giant pauldrons.

Party control in Baldur's Gate 3 is a complete mess that begs to be addressed. SAY NO TO THE TOILET CHAIN

Don't know about that so much. Especially if transmog still had some level of restriction (I.e. Only change like items. So heavy armour can only be heavy armour and you can't transmog on some camp clothes instead)

But even then, there's always the whole "It's up to you if you mess things up for yourself"

Like, even with an unrestricted transmog, I wouldn't personally use it to make things that feel weird and would tend to only use it when I get given items that look like complete ass (For example, in BG3 if I want to play a BARBARIAN who runs around being a savage without armour... Half the time they'll be running around in a dress because that's the majority of the non-armour items... WTF kind of BARBARIAN runs around in a god damn dress?)

Or the alternative being I use it to update my appearance as I acquire new items, even if I don't actually use said items. Like, if I got some uniques that fit my build early and don't change them because they're better than everything else, I still want to be able to get new appearances as I find new stuff instead of just throwing it into a vendor and forgetting it ever existed.

It would only be if everything is completely and totally irredeemable trash that I'd resort to just selecting one appearance that sucks the least and using that forever. (Which given BG3's designs... Is a possibility...)

I like the idea of transmog. I use a mod for that in BG3 atm, but it would be nice, if it could be implemented in the new game.
I want to be able to give my characters a look that fits their culture and/ or personality.
