I missed out on EA for bg3 and I don't want to make the same mistake. Will EA and other testing phases be limited? If so, where can I check to find out the most up to date info on how to sign up? I understand this may be quite early to ask, but I don't want to miss out on anything so I figured I'd start researching it out now and keep checking back occasionally. Thanks for any info.

If you're on PC, Steam should give you notice.

I have honestly no idea how do you missed news of BG3 entering early access if you were paying any degree of attention to anything gaming-related in that timeframe, because that thing didn't exactly go unnoticed.

Gaming sites talked about it extensively, youtube channels drummed the news, the game was a top seller on Steam since day one of EA, etc.

I mean, it's entirely reasonable to miss the news if you are not paying attentions to videogames in any way, shape or form, but in that case I'm not sure what could be suggested here that would work.

anyway, taking Larian's past M.O. as reference test phases probably won't be limited in any meaningful way. When the game will be ready for testing they will release and sell it publicly in Early Access, like they did for their past three titles (DOS 1, DOS 2 and BG3).

Party control in Baldur's Gate 3 is a complete mess that begs to be addressed. SAY NO TO THE TOILET CHAIN

I extensively watch several gaming news channels... Not once did I get mention of EA.

The game release? Sure, that was everywhere. But the EA? Not a peep.

Literally, I just went back through their videos and not a single one exists about BG3's EA. The time it was a thing, the news was all about the PS5 launch disaster. With the actual game news being dominated by Black Myth Wukong and Ghost of Tsushima.

Not even Steam promoted it to me.

The first time I personally heard about the EA was when the release date was announced and news sites picked up on this, then when manually checking the store page for it seeing it had EA.

Last I checked Larian EA's aren't limited. You just buy the game during EA and you get to play (Act 1 only).

As for keeping up to date, as soon as it's on Steam you can wishlist it and you'll get an announcement when EA goes live.
