Me too. I certainly hope they'll manage, D:OS2 was rather disappointing in that regard.
Sometimes I want to replay that game, but I never do, because I feel like I need to overhaul the abilities and magic system in that game to make it less monotonous and that's not a short or simple task. I don't even know if you *can* mod the surfaces to make their interactions less "everything becomes cursed fire next round no matter what you do". The surfaces and clouds in BG3 are much more interesting and varied.
