As an update to this thread, I managed to get into contact with a member of the dev team via Discord. From what he said, it's likely going to take the support team 2-3 weeks to sift through the bug/crash reports and nail down the exact cause of the issue. All in all, the only thing we can do is sit and wait for another hotfix.
15. Dez. um 6:39, Geekmeist: Another update, BG3 support emailed me back tonight to let me know they've submitted a bug report to the team. I responded asking if there was anything else I could do on my end or if I had to just wait for another hotfix, no response yet. By the length of time between emails, I'd assume I won't get another response for another week or so. Really upsetting that so many people are having this specific, game-breaking issue with the game and Larian has done anything but address it. Really hoping a fix comes soon so we can all get back to the game.
This happened to several people with a time delay... I had to reinstall several times before it worked again... According to the above thread, the developers are working on locating and fixing the issue. I see more and more threads popping up where ppl suddenly are no longer able to load (new and or quick) saves... Seems to be a more complicated and returning issue from the past (corrupted save files after hotfix / patch) which Larian has to solve... And unfortunately, as in previous years, this always happens right around the holiday season. Therefore, significant improvements are not expected until the end of January, i.e., after the holiday season...
