Hello Everyone

When I first started the game I have set my video settings to low for smooth gameplay, however after a game crash my video settings reset to original configuration (high) and wont change despite setting it to low again. When I loaded my save after crash I immediately noticed visual effect were different: lights, shadow, flames, smoke it all looked better but at cost of performance, its just too taxing for my pc now. The main menu will show video options are set to low but in practice some still run on high setting. For example: Texture Detail, Shadow, Fog and Cloud Quality is always set at {value="3"} in graphicSettings.lsx file despite changing it in the menu. Some of the options work as intended but this video options I can not set to low again.

I did some research online and try to repair/reinstall the game, deleting graphicSettings.lsx file and editing it manually, I reinstalled my graphic drivers, turning cloud sync on and off but nothing seems to work, its sad I can not enjoy BG3 like I did at the game release and that one crush just broke my game permanently. I read some players have similar issues with video settings not saving. Have anyone had same problem and found way to fix it? Please share.

Edit: I should add it all happen after Hotfix #4 before the patch game was running fine.

Found the issue, the frame rate cap was off, for better performance turn frame rate to 60 and turn it on. Peace

I ran into almost the same thing after patching BG3, my settings just wouldn't stick even after editing the files manually. What finally solved it for me was launching the game as administrator, then making changes and exiting right after. That forced the config to save properly the next time. It’s definitely buggy, especially after some new updates.
