How do I link to a picture for the forum avatar? I tried to insert a link to an imgur.com jpg or png (120 x 120) file, but it always says "improper format". It worked in the past. Now my old picture from imgur is gone and I cannot add a new one.

With the link, make sure it's the imgur (or other image hosting site) link that ends in the image format (.jgp .png). I'd also recommend trying to make sure the image file size isn't too heavy.

Thank you. It's a bit baffling, the usual links on imgur don't show .png or .jpg and also cannot be edited. In the end I took one link with [img] brackets around a .png and edited it on the forum page, by deleting the brackets. Strange but it worked.
