Even as someone who admittedly drifts towards the conventionally attractive playable options in any given game I do not like it when every single playable race has their unique elements sanded down in order to be more palatable to those who cannot handle any real quirks, grit or nuance even in settings that make no secret of the fact that they have darker elements present.
