Coming in with amazing news for PS5 users. The solution found by vbrn worked for me! You are god send, friend, thanks!
To make a little list of actions of what I did to solve the issue:
- First, I did all the steps listed in any google search of clearing the PS5 cache and restoring datebase. Can't say for sure that it had an influence on solving the issue, since we don't know what is causing it, but I did it anyway.
- Log-in to Larian Acount and let it online forever.
- Cross platform save turned ON.
- Delet all save files that where broken and didn't load (manual and auto save).
- Reentered act 3 from an old manual safe file that I had at the end of act 2.
- As soon as act 3 started, did a manual save file with plain text, no numbers or special characters in the save name.
Quit the game, close te app and reloaded with sucess at act 3. Played around one your yesterday on act 3, saved the game in the same save file created previously. Open up this morning and it loaded. It took a little more time to load then other acts, but it's fine, because it got to 100% and opened the game.
For now, keeping only this manual save, auto save and quick saves.
Thank you vbrn for this solve!! I really hope that it will keep working and bring me to the end game.
And I really hope that Larian will soon make a hot fix for this. At this point, with the amount of posts here and reddit, it's clear that it's not an isolated issue.
boobe, don't know how things work on PC for this game, maybe you can aproximate what we did in the PS5 for a solution for your campaing.
Thank god it's friday and this fix aparently will hold untill end game, time to get back to my monk!
