If you're too badass and kill the two eagles before they can summon the rest, you cannot kill all the eagles and thus return the nest to the sweet, innocent blue jay, and cannot complete the quest. I even realized this as a danger and stood there for several rounds letting them beat on me, nope.

She probably realized it was hopeless and felt a whisker of blue jay-like honor and refused to call her friends to the slaughter.


Ooh! I should have destroyed the entire Monastery then gone back to the Blue Jay to see what it says!
