I kept changing how I played my characters in Vanguard. It was part of the fun.
Well there was one class that I didnt change much, and that was the Dread Knight. I worked very hard on the macros etc until I had the optimal setup, or so I hoped. Didnt change much after that anymore. Still was a hell of a lot fun to play, because it was so challenging.
My probably favorite event was when I once tanked for a pickup raid and the people went all oh we have to be careful our tank doesnt have good gear (I had APW and some other lesser raid stuff on me), and in the end, when they evaluated how the raid had gone, it turned out that I had actually the highest dps in the whole raid ! They really didnt need to hold back THAT much lol. Well, it was a pickup raid.
Anyway on a tank you had to keep aggro, so there was less experiments possible. You had to find the optimal dps strategy and stick to it. Especially if you had multiple opponents, it could get hairy.
On other classes however I changed around all the time, trying to optimize my play further.
