Having the same issue! Game gets the rainbow wheel of death when entering dialogue or cutscenes. Happens about 80% of the time.

I've tried everything suggested in all the forums; tried all settings at low (even though I get 60 fps on high), toggled all video settings in almost every permutation, tried fullscreen/borderless window, tried a clean chache/save/reinstall, I tried the "renice" command in terminal, I tried playing offline, I tried disabling cloud sync etc etc.
Nothing works. And the thing is, when I first got the game in January 2024 I played through the whole thing with this exact Mac on high settings without a single crash — so it's not a hardware issue.
I wish Larian would give some indication that they're aware of this because it's completely unplayable.
