This may not fix your issues but it permanently fixed very similar symptoms for me. In my case, newer Alienware Laptop very similar to your specs except Nvidia GPU. Never had an issue before. But once I started playing BG3 on this system started to see the very random flashing black screens that I never had before. I finally found a thread that discussed certified video cables and because they were only about $20 each I bought them on Amazon and installed them as soon as I got them. Never had a flashing black screen ever again. BTW before that I even replaced the cables with the cheap junk I usually buy just to save money. The cables made all the difference in the world for me. Hope this helps. Again, the key was high performance certified video cables and I never looked back.
