I thought, I might revive this thread.

Some newer characters of mine:

Ylva Ravenshade: she is the black sheep of the noble family Ravenshade and she pretty much cut ties with her family after her sister got murdered because of some powerplay her uncle had with that recluse noble Szarr.
She became a true crime columnist at the Baldurs Mouth Gazette and actually found a taste for solving crimes. She and some of the not corrupt flaming fists (Devella, Valerias unhappy partner among them) teamed up on numerous occasions and she was allowed to write about it.
She was abducted after a friend of hers, Olenna Toryl (my tiefling detective) asked her for help in finding out about a Bhaal cult in Baldurs Gate. That creepy friend of her editor, some guy named Gortash, didn't like it and she got warned to investigate further ... which of course made her investigate further. Both she and Olenna got attacked in the streets at night and woke up in the nautiloid.

Her class is lore bard and instead of playing instruments, she is a storyteller. In a modern AU she would probably be a youtube true crime storyteller, but one of the more respectful ones, that focus on crime solving and being respectful towards the victims families.

She is a gold dwarf (I looked up what dwarf Ravenshade is, but the wiki only said dwarf, but I think, gold dwarf makes more sense here)








And here is Holly Brambleweed, lightfoot halfling and natural explorer.
She is working for the natural society in Waterdeep (which I just made up, but since Waterdeep has everything basically, including temples of nearly all gods and different schools and universities, I felt, it fits) and specialises in field work. Classwise she is a ranger/land druid.

The last expedition brought her and her colleagues to the outskirts of the the so called Shadowlands. They were trying to find out about the changes in flora and fauna there, but instead run into a group of cult followers of the so called Absolute with drows, goblins and hobgoblins among them. In the following fight, a lot of her fellow explorers died, but she was taken in unconscious and woke up on the Nautiloid.
She will be delighted to be able to investigate the Shadowcurse later on and help Jaheira, the harpers and Halsin and Thaniel restoring the lands.






I also did a new playthrough with my half Gur / half high elf Inara Vargoba, since I'm in a monster hunter mood, while reading the WItcher books for the first time and I finally found a face/hair combo for her, that fits, what I had in mind for her.
She was taken by the nautiloid while helping a halfling bard, that got bitten by a werewolf (yes, Helia is canon for me) to deal with the curse. I imagine her a bit similar to Geralt in the regard that she doesn't just kill every creature, that is considered a 'monster' but will try to find out, if they are really evil or not. Funnily enough I created her without knowing much about the WItcher universe, so her turning out to be a female Geralt in some regards was purely by accident.
She romances Wyll, which I found fitting, fellow monster hunters and such. She will also be searching for her Ciri, Helia, since she didn't know, what happened to her and if she was abducted too.
The companions remind me a bit of the companionship in Baptism of FIre, similar dynamic and such.
Inara is less grumpy than Geralt, on the contrary, she is pretty open and friendly.
