Bet you thought you’d seen the last of these.

As it turns out, a few crashes and technical issues were still knocking about, so if you were getting stuck while loading saves, or trying to progress from Act 2 into Act 3, your corrupted saves should now be fixed!

Stuckat 92% (applying patch 99.6%) for 10 mins now - on GoG

Finished - but it took almost 20 mins to do the last little bit

Yeah - it's only a 74MB patch but it touches many game files (~84.5GB), so it took quite a while to update (I also own the game on GOG). Could have been because my temporary game update folder is set to use a HDD as I don't have enough space left on my SSD to install big updates. It took almost 45 minutes to update, including about 30 minutes with the progression counter stuck at 99.7%

What's the size of the update? Steam is downloading ~950MB. It's all good?

I don't know what you guys did, but after yesterday's update, my BG3 -- [PC in steam] Game graphics is experiencing loading delays and Screen flashing every few minute...


If you guys don't want to fix the bugs...like [ Hat of the Sharp Caster still appears on top of the canopy at the entrance to Sorcerous Sundries] or [ Expert Divination -  Prophecy: Delivering Alms still can`t be completed] , Please don't make it any worse more...OK?

By the way...Any modification to "EquipmentTypes.lsx" is still completely ignored...So " Visible Shield Mod " still not working....

it had to unpack the file... that takes a long time depending on your system Ram/ cpu but is a smaller download

I just created an account to say that after applying this patch I have the ketheric 0hp bug.

Anyone else having issues with cross-play? Went to play a cross-play campaign with a friend on PS5 and he is no longer able to join.

You probably know already, but that hotfix makes vanilla incons in CC dissappear in some games. They still work, but you have to click blindly through them.

I'm on OS X Sonoma and now I just get a black screen right after the Larian studios animation plays. It's just black and it's been this way for an hour. Any way to fix this? Quite a bummer. Glad I completed my first honor mode playthrough before this happened.

Win 11, Steam, 4.1.1.7151330, no mods.
Severe stuttering issues after latest patch from 16.02.2026.
Every time after loading new area or a save file game severely stutters (6-20 fps) for up to 10 seconds, before it becomes playable.
Game files verified, cleared cache, tried both DX11 and Vulkan, updated nvidia drivers, no improvements.
The longer the game stays on, the worse is the problem.
Had no performance issues before recent patch.


PC: 9800x3D, RTX 5070 Ti, 32 gb ram, nvme SSD.

Please allow us to use previous patch of the game through steam, while you are working on the fix.
Curently it is only possible to rollback to patch 7 on steam or even earlier.

I started a new game recently, after the latest update.
I'm now at Lvl 4, and I realised that none of my partymemebers has received a single inspiration point so far.
That doesn't seem normal. At this point, it should have happened. For instance, Shadowheart read the book of the dead gods in the dank crypt. I'm pretty sure that gave her a IP in the past. Nothing now.
Did anyone else notice this ? Could it be a problem created by the update ?

if Shadowheart was the one reading the book then she should have two checks; 1st is Religion check narration, = know these are the names of GODS and then 2nd the game rolls "Perception" to know they are the dead 3

if she passed the 1st check then yes she should get a inspiration point

Q1. I'm playing a regular Tav, but I let Shart open the book with her [cleric] option. I think she needed a 5 fpr success, and was successful.
ButI mention this particular event, as it is an occasion where I'm almost sure someone should have gotten an AP. But as said, at Lvl 4, I realize no one ever had an IP throughout the game. I used up all my "disarm traps" toolkits at a certain moment.

Q2. Yes, I have mods. Same as the ones before the last update, and never saw this "problem".

Thanks for responding. I guess that , if it's an update issue, other reports will be coming in. Though it may take a while before the realization seeps in.

I investigated this problem by eliminating mods and restarting a gameplay up to the druid grove where I should be able to get some IP. And though this method can never be 100% certain, I'm quite convinced that it is the "Improved UI" mod that made the IP disappear. It's no longer maintained and obsolete, but was just still hanging there in my modlist, unseen and unknown for I don"t remember how long, until it suddenyl triggered this problem.
Now I removed it and got some IP again. So, players, check your mods to see if you still have this hanging around inthere and remove it.

So, the ingame modmanager just tried to reinstall ImpUI. Things start to make sense now. I thought I had already removed it long ago. Deleted with BG3MM, but I didn not unsubscribe from mod.io. So last time when all mods got disabled, I probably just clicked all checkboxes to re-enable them and ImpUI was among them.
Ah the joys of modding.

Which version exactly did you have? I am still using ImpUI Patch 8 CC fixes (by bibsan) and all is working well.
