Hey folks, 

Our last small update, which aimed to resolve corrupted savegames affecting a number of players, seemed to have also introduced some performance issues that triggered crashes. Thank you for your patience while these were investigated!

A fix is now rolling out for all platforms that addresses these performance issues and some other crashes and blockers that were still affecting players. 

FIXES
- Fixed a framerate drop and eventual crash when loading a savegame.
- Fixed several crashes.
- Fixed a bug on Xbox where tooltips in the Inventory and Trade windows wouldn't display correctly.
- Fixed a bug on Mac preventing you from progressing past Character Creation after starting a character introduction cinematic on Honour Mode.

Just to let you know, on GoG the down load for your little fix, is 63GB+

no don't ask them to 'Fix' it... every small untested patch causes more issues

I can confirm fix is working at XBOX X, old saves from Act 3 now are playable as used to be!

Not so "little" huh 😅 The fix itself is not a big size, but due to it affecting existing files throughout the game, it sometimes means that Steam or GOG might need to recompile some of those files, and they request that space in the disk to do so. Once the update is installed, this space should be empty once more.

no its an actual 64G download mate i.e, unlike the last patch this one isn't compressed so you need to download a lot but unlike last you don't have to wait for your cpu to unpack it so good in some ways and worse in others

In such cases I just download the full game again.

Just bring back the cut Minthara pregnancy if you're gonna keep patching the game

Sorry there will be no new patch anymore. Only bugfixes from this point on.

Could you release a version of this patch for PS5 that allows the act 3 saves to work? It is still crashing. The frame rate is better with the most recent update but you still can't load saves from act 3.

FPS absolutely tanks at the helm on the tutorial nautiloid and I just crashed to desktop. Larian seriously needs to stop touching this game and roll it back to 2 patches ago before they broke everything for the sake of a few whiners with bricked saves.

What a shame. There would be many things still to patch in the game. Nothing so big, but they would improve it a lot. =(

Seriously, whats going on ?

In my current game there are countless problems.

For example Astarion has lost his last tab of inventory items (the one for healing potion etc), and Laezel is the usual Eldrith Thrower - except her damage is completely in the gutter. With Str 17 and the Cambion Greatsword with 1d4 fire damage she does like 2, 3 damage.

Or installed mods on the installed page have no icons.

I have installed with file checks, too, so thats cannot be the problem ?!?

Btw I have the GoG version.

Someone needs to hotfix the hotfix because the game became insanely broken for me a few days ago. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, removed everything from AppData, and then reinstalled, and it did not help. After a few minutes the game is unplayable. I have it running right now and the temp is only 81, so it's not a heat issue. How does anyone break a game after it's been out for a few years?

For the record, I had simply forgotten that Throwers need to use weapons with the Thrown property. Such as Spears, Tridents or the Returning Lance (Lances in general however dont have the thrown property).

I still have the problem that Laezel constantly loses her bound, thrown weapon though. And I'm not even initializing combat with her.

Has anyone done the faith-leap trial recently ? My Shadowheart is standing in front of the final podium where the umbral gem should be. (No cheating, just walked all the way up there) but climbing on the podium blinds her and there's no umbral gem. Jumping on the podium kills her. Stepping east west or souh to try another entry point kills her.

I'm doing a shadowheart origin run, so I wanted to do this extremely stressful and annoying trial anyway. (I did it a couple of times long ago, but it was such a fun-killer that on subsequent PT's I only got the gem from Yurgir, avoideded the trials and used knock to open the door)

I don't have knock now but I'll cheat another way because as far as I can tell, this trial's broken.
