Can you no longer ? There is an inspiration on the wiki but there seems to be no way to get it.

Should be able to. The very onset of the dialogue upon approaching involves the Goblins asking you to give torturing a go.

So long as you don't do any of the checks to make the Goblins go away, you should have a chance to give it a go, and if successful, will grant that inspiration.

Do note that as a Drow (Or while disguised as one) you do not get the option to torture, you instead send the Goblins away without any ability checks.

I am again at this point, on a different run, and again nothing works.

According to the internet, the options should be:

- Why are you torturing him ?
- This looks interesting, let me put him through his paces.
- [Illithid] [Wisdom] Leave, both of you.
- [Deception] Go get yourself a drink. Your boss sent me to relieve you.
- *Leave*

And option 2 would allow to get the DUrge Inspiration.

But I dont get that, I get:

- Nice rack.
- [Illithid] [Wisdom] Leave, both of you.
- [Deception] Go get yourself a drink. Your boss sent me to relieve you.
- [Performance] I'm taking over. Your sloppy handiwork is going to kill the prisoner too quickly.
- [Detect Thoughts] Read the goblins thoughts
- *Leave*

"Nice rack" does nothing, I just get all the same options again, except "Nice rack".

The other options ALL are dont get me the DUrge inspiration. The goblins just leave.

And yes if I'm disguised as Drow it looks even different.

So what the heck is going on here. Why cant I get this inspiration.

I did a little digging around and found suggestions that Shadowheart has to be in your party for the option to take over to appear (As she suggests it).

If you've murdered her, then seemingly you get the second set of options without the ability to take over the torturing.

I saw that on the internet, too. But Shadowheart is in my party. She was in the last game, too.

And yes she suggests taking over, but I still dont get the "This looks interesting" option.

And yes the Performance option kind of sounds like what Shadowheart suggests, but it just sends the torturers away. It does not give you the option to get the Inspiration.

I am now genuinely convinced that this is bugged.

I literally started a new game, spoke with nobody, did only the minimal quests, and its still 100% the same.

I'm a Halfling Bard(1)/Hexblade Warlock(2), if that matters. In the other games I was Bard(2)/Hexblade Warlock(2), once as Halfling, once as Wild Half-Elf.

Always Dark Urge, of course. Would be funny if I tried on a regular custom and it worked. When it wouldnt even given me an inspiration.

And this is the most recent patch, the GoG version.


P.s.: Oh and yes I tried changing my class. I tried getting branded. I tried entering to the regular entrance and to the sideway. Nothing changes.

The videos on the internet show no special precondition either.

Quite possible.

As someone who exclusively plays Tav, across 100's of playthrough's I've never once seen a single scenario where that second set of dialogue options occurs. It has always been that first set, regardless of what I did or didn't do.

This also aligns with reports I heard about Durge players getting someone else to start the dialogue to get the first set of options (These reports being from prior to the "Always default to PC" patch).

Which might still be possible to utilize, if you run your Durge far enough away that someone else can trigger the dialogue, then swapping to your Durge and running them closer so they can benefit from the result of the dialogue option.
