It was doing fine for couple of weeks, no issues at all, running as an administration via bg3.exe or bg3_dx11.exe, until another nvidia update driver came on 26th of May and the game started to completely freeze during cutscenes, character customization and levelling up customization.
Have you tried rolling back the driver to the previous version (596.49)?
