Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Technical & Gameplay Problems Tav Refuses to Move

Hello, I do apologize if this has been mentioned but I checked all the way back to January and didn't see anything.
My Tav won't move. She will once someone shoves her, but after that, she still won't pick up anything. She can jump but still not move after.
-No mods installed.
-Already verified files.
-She is not weighed down too much (in fact, she drank a Cloud Giant Strength elixir).
-Turn-based mode did not work.
-During combat, when i click for her to go somewhere, the white line remains by the circle, but she does not even twitch.

This might be game-killing for me. I'm in the Iron Throne and hate to waste a shove on her when turns are so precious. Or in the final missions of the game where anytime we go somewhere new, someone's gonna have to shove her.
If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it!!

I suppose from above that this only happens to Tav, but that the other companions do move normally.
If something got corrupted with Tav, maybe a way out is to kill them and use the revify scroll to restore them.

Hello, thanks for replying!! I will just have to try that. She is blessed by a certain pain-loving god, so she'll lose that, but at this point, it's worth it to save my game!

A streamer that I watch had this (or a very similar) issue last week. He's in Act 3 and was only able to jump around for a while. He was out of combat. He seems to have fixed it by removing pieces of his gear (specifically his armour) and putting them back on. After doing that, he was able to move around fine for the rest of the session. He even had to reload to that broken point and do it again. It was consistent for him. Hopefully it helps you or someone else with the issue.

For additional context, it happened to him after throwing a piece of armour at a secret door with hopes of breaking it. The armour sort of glitched out and he picked it back up at the base of the door. Then he was unable to move except by jumping.
