I've thought about this a lot and I'm not proud of it, but here we are.
Shadowheart was great. Genuinely one of the best-looking companions in the genre. But I'm going to say the thing everyone's thinking and nobody wants to type: the character designs could be curvier. Bigger chest, bigger hips, actual hourglass. Fantasy is a genre with beholders and mind flayers in it — I don't think a defined waist is where realism should draw the line.
And while we're at it: jiggle physics. Zenless Zone Zero-tier. I know. I know. But someone on that team spent months on cloth simulation for capes, and I'm just asking for the technology to be applied more broadly. It's a matter of consistency, really.
And if you don't. I'll mod them in myself. I already needed a mod to play BG3 the way I wanted. I have the tools. I have the time. I have no shame. Muahahaha...
TL;DR: more curves, add physics, or I do it myself. Feminists can ignore this thread (sorry in advance if I offended you in any way).

STRONGLY opposed.
This should be an universal game for everyone, not a porn game targetting overly horny male teenagers.
BG3 of course already has hourglas figure for women. Thats pretty much standard.
What I ideally want is a natural distribution of looks, and the option to edit your characters body.
And if there are "jiggle physics" then for the love of god make them look realistical. They are usually comically overdone. Good for a laugh, maybe, but it gets old really quick afterwards.

Oh dear, curvacious females and jiggle physics in a 18+ fantasy game is porn now ? As Shadowheart would comment .... ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/pfzbAjn.png) Oh, BTW, I'm signing the petition. To the thread starter, there are already lots of mods available in BG3 to make females more curvy. From natural to extreme cartoonish. Jiggle physics exists for the male sex, but for females, it seems to be a hard call. The few mods that exist can display some minimal jiggle, but the clipping is horrendous, so not really useablez in game. Hmmmm... Native male jiggle, but impossible female jiggle. A clear case of Larian discriminating against females ! This is something Larian could improve. If not implementing themselves, at least make it possible for mods to do so.

While i would not mind seeing more shapely bodies, i would hate to see stupidly oversexualised ones. BG3 ones were good. What i would like to see is more regular body shapes, like more curves around the belly and such, venus belly or dad bod/gladiator body for others, six pack for others and then stuff in-between. Different races could have quite a bit differences in Divinity universe, though in trailer they showed everything was pretty much human with very small differences which was bit disappointing unless they are half-human. So i could see them creating more detailed customiser.
We really don't need jiggle physics.
But i don't think its a loss if they go with something similar to BG3, it worked well for Dragonborn. What bugs me more is how bad the beards look. Hair and beard are the hardest to do on a body, i think lot of games have pretty good hair now, but pretty bad beards - this was the case on BG3, at least on whatever graphical settings i used.

Here are the gooners again. There are games for you already, so leave it be
Edit: I don't oppose to more inclusivity in BTs, but I'm thinking more along the line of normal bts, like not as athletic or maybe with a bit more weight. But I don't wan't pornstar characters. It's bad enough we had model companions in BG3 and not much uniqueness (maybe apart from Lae'zel and Karlach, though they did give Karlach a super smooth face).

There are obvious very diverging preferences here.
I prefer rather flat chested human women that have a normal body shape, not a slim or overcurved celebrity body. Of course, giths are naturally skinny, so that is fine. Men should not have six packs. That is a gym look, not something an adventurer has.
BG3 was pretty decent, I think.

I don't object to any body types or objectification in itself. To me, the consistency with the storytelling and atmosphere is what matters. Certain aesthetics fit certain styles of games.
The trailer for Divnity displayed a grimdark type of setting, a gritty world which wasn't exactly pretty. Characters who look like they are auditioning for some modern reality tv-show just wouldn't fit in. They can have various body types with curves or muscles, as long as it fits the vibe. The classic elves of D:OS and D:OS2 were more alien looking rather than the supermodel bodies of BG3 and I think things like this is important to preserve the game's distinct own world building and storytelling.
Also want to add that BG3 had curvy bodies for for example halflings, dwarves and ogres. If some of these races had been available as companions, the cast wouldn't have been so one-dimensional when it comes to body types.
