I don't object to any body types or objectification in itself. To me, the consistency with the storytelling and atmosphere is what matters. Certain aesthetics fit certain styles of games.
The trailer for Divnity displayed a grimdark type of setting, a gritty world which wasn't exactly pretty. Characters who look like they are auditioning for some modern reality tv-show just wouldn't fit in. They can have various body types with curves or muscles, as long as it fits the vibe. The classic elves of D:OS and D:OS2 were more alien looking rather than the supermodel bodies of BG3 and I think things like this is important to preserve the game's distinct own world building and storytelling.
Also want to add that BG3 had curvy bodies for for example halflings, dwarves and ogres. If some of these races had been available as companions, the cast wouldn't have been so one-dimensional when it comes to body types.
