Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Story & Character Discussion Where's the extra tadpole?

So you get one on the ship that may-or-may-not-have-yoinked-you-from-Baldur's-Gate-or-that-other-city-because-you-were-visiting-grandma.

And then you consume one that unlocks your tadpole power up screen. Then you can start placing them. I have 3 to place often at this point.

So...there's the original from the ship, the one you consumed, and the 3 I had in my pocket to place. But that screen only has one in the middle. Is this the original, or the one I consumed. If either, where is the other?

I should have 5 tadpoles:
FYI, Larian, your enter-a-bullet-list wizard doesn't work right.

• The original
• The one I consumed
• The three I dropped into powers

But I only see 4 on that brain. The central one is "Illithid Persuasion", you can use this to control cultists. But I could do this long before I "consumed" that other one. Ergo it is the original.

So where's the one I consumed?

But that's a funny definition of consume.
