the manual said something about throwing weapons and poison stuff but how do you throw?

Poison, stones, skulls, barrels etc: Just drag and drop.
Weapons? Sorry, no clue - maybe by activating the boomerang skill?

I learned it from the Warrior's Guild - though i never used it.

You can throw spears although I never tried.
